Terms of Service

Last updated: 24-06-2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Break Timer Bot. By using the bot, you agree to the following terms. We've kept it short, clear, and human-readable.

2. Description of Service

Break Timer Bot lets Discord users start a shared break timer, with optional @here pings and a visual progress bar. That's it. No bloat, no tracking, no ads.

3. What We Store (and Why)

To keep the bot running smoothly and prevent abuse, we store a small amount of data when you use the /break command:

  • Your user ID (just the numeric ID, not your username or messages)
  • The server ID and channel ID where the command was used
  • The time and duration of the timer

We use this to:

  • Prevent spam or overuse (rate limiting)
  • Restore timers or send error messages if the bot restarts mid-break

4. Your Responsibility

You're responsible for how the bot is used in your server. We're not liable for any disruptions, delays, or unexpected behavior during your sessions.

5. Availability

We aim to keep Break Timer Bot online and bug-free, but can't guarantee perfect uptime. Features may change or the bot may be paused or shut down at any time.

6. Abuse Policy

If the bot is used to spam, disrupt, or harass others, we may restrict access.

7. Liability

The bot is provided “as is” with no warranties. Use it at your own risk, but we built it with care and safety in mind.
